Home for Benji is wherever his family is. Currently home for him is in Dubai. He has lived in a total of five places and lives in Auckland at the moment. He’s travelled all over Asia and Europe and made his first trip to the US this year.
When Laura moved to Italy, she faced a huge culture shock. Before she moved to Italy she had lived in Singapore, Jakarta, and Mexico City. While Italy was a huge change for her, she learned to love it, especially the food, pasta and gelato. After Italy, her parents moved to Algeria and Laura split her time between Algeria and Bournemouth (UK) where she went for University. If Laura had to choose one place to call home, it would be Bournemouth because it’s where she feels like she’s lived her whole life.
Tryston has eaten Cantonese food his whole life and Hong Kong, the place he grew up, he says is the place for it. Born in California but raised in Hong Kong and China, Tryston doesn’t always explain in detail where he’s from. When he’s in America he tells them he’s from Hong Kong to explain his different mannerisms. When he’s in Hong Kong he tells people he’s and American born Chinese. He was resistant to Hong Kong during his first year but as time went on he learned to love his new home. Although he finds his life not always the easiest to live, he wouldn’t trade his life for anything.
